Survive The Wild -A Horse and Dog Race

End date has been extended again, because, guys this is a lot of work I know xD
Alone in the wilderness, you and your companions must face daring terrain, harsh weather and a slew of dangers. You will have one month to find your way out and, hopefully, come out on top.
You, your horse and your loyal canine companion will begin your journey the wilderness of Kentucky, in a place unused, undeveloped, and uncharted for generations and, god willing, end your journey on the other side of the Highridge Mountains. While you may begin with pack provisions, it's very likely that at some point you will run out of food... and water. Eventually people realize that their tents are just too much, and dump them too. You will have to find your own food, water and shelter.
The first team to make it out, in tact, wins.

I'm shaking the weather up a bit, since I realized at some point that competition time is moving slower than real time.

Mon.: Day- Sunny, a bit cloudy with a light breeze. In the mid 60's. ~ Night- Cold but dry. Sky is clear, highs in the upper 40's.
Tue.: Day- Slightly cloudy with a gentle breeze. Lower 70's ~ Night- 40% Chance of showers. Highs in the upper 30's.
Wed.: Day- 50% chance of rain, in the upper 50's. ~ Night- Rain, highs in the upper 30's.
Thur.: Day- 100% Chance of rain, in the mid 50's. Severe (dangerous) winds. ~ Night- Chance of snow flurries in higher elevations, in the mid 30's
Fri.: Day- Lows in the upper 20's, highs in the mid 30's. Snow

We are once again gathered here to select 24 lucky individuals, who will have the honor of representing their district
in this year's 2013 Hunger Games!
These individuals will have the opportunity to show off their skills, show their bravery and determination!
The winner will be showered in not only praise, but riches and of course fame for their district.
A rosewood award plaque will be made in your tribute's honor, their picture and name in gold!
Who will be the victor? Who will do their district proud?

This year's games will begin on January 21st, and will run until 1 dog is remaining.

Omg love! I am SO sorry! I looked back through my notes for something and saw that message I was meant to proof read for you! Sorry! I think I was reading it on my iPad entially because I was out and I don't usually type lots on the iPad because, well I am crap at using a touch screen so I was going to wait until the next morning (was it?) to get on my laptop and type it out properly. I must have forgot DX!
